Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician II to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a key member of our Central Processing Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical equipment and supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate, clean, package, sterilize, store, and distribute medical equipment and supplies in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Operate and maintain various equipment, including steam sterilizers, plasma sterilizers, and automated endoscope reprocessors.
  • Inventory and restock supplies, and specialty carts, as needed.
  • Prepare and assemble OR case carts according to preference cards for surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Two years of recent experience as a Sterile Processing Technician or Surgical Technician in an acute hospital setting.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, and completion of an accredited Sterile Processing Program or Surgical Technician program.
  • Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician or Registered Central Service Technician.
