Ryder System is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician Master Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electronic problems
- Perform advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs and diesel after treatment system repairs
- Utilize diagnostic computers and software to troubleshoot and repair issues
- Interact with customers and drivers to determine the nature of complaints and provide solutions
- Instruct and advise other technicians on maintenance and repair procedures
- Coach and mentor other technicians to improve their skills and knowledge
- Perform facility maintenance duties and ensure a safe and clean work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or technical certification or post-secondary degree preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Four years or more of relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A preferred
- All other certifications as required by location
- Competitive hourly pay rate
- Quarterly bonus up to $500
