Job Description

Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to support the company's production goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing materials, supplies, and tools to ensure the quality of products used in the assembly of Remote Weapon Stations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count, sort, or weigh incoming materials to verify receipt of items on a purchase order.
  • Store articles in bins, on floors, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material.
  • Fulfill work orders or issue supplies from stock while maintaining accurate database records.
  • Distribute stock among production workers and move or transport materials or supplies to other departments.
  • Maintain inventory and other stock records in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to record findings for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Pick required quantities of materials according to work order pick lists and use scanning equipment to read bar codes.
  • Complete pick lists by showing quantity pulled or quantity short and sign to verify quality control and count accuracy.
  • Utilize computer systems for adjustments of inventory counts, stock records, location changes, and damaged goods.
  • Mark identifying codes and information of material lots according to policy and procedure.
  • Receive bar-coded and packaged parts from kitting, scan bar codes, and place materials into proper kits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory utilizing warehouse systems, including scrap and administering CoC for USG as required.
  • Count, sort, or weigh materials in bins, on floors, or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size, or type of material to verify physical quantities for accuracy.
  • Investigate discrepant materials using deductive research methods to resolve issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Record assigned actions to improve as necessary.
  • Identify, correct, and report inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate and schedule USG Property.
  • Interface with Customer Property Administrators, Local DCMA, and USG Property Administrators.

Requirements:

  • One (1) year of experience operating in a warehousing or manufacturing environment with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team.
  • Ability to certify on and use daily Fork Trucks, Pallet Jacks, and other powered industrial trucks.
  • Frequently required to stand, bend, kneel, lift, and reach, with the ability to lift 50lbs.
