Pharmacy Specialist

As a Pharmacy Specialist at Giant Eagle, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and efficient dispensing of patient orders. Your expertise will be essential in building strong relationships with patients and providing exceptional care.

• Remain informed on new drugs, therapies, and developments in the pharmacy industry.
• Adhere to all company, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations, including HIPAA.
• Build professional rapport with outside partners, including physicians, nurses, and vendors.
• Maintain production rates and meet quality expectations as determined by leadership.
• Administer immunizations and mentor new team members.
• Verify accurate replenishment of system canisters with appropriate medication.
• Model excellent patient care and verify accuracy of filled prescriptions.
• Address and resolve prescription order exceptions as necessary and complete incoming/outgoing prescription transfers.
• Assist in maintaining inventories, ordering products, and supplies.
• Perform duties of Pharmacy Manager and technician as required.
