Assembly Specialist
As an Assembly Specialist at Aerotek, you will be responsible for assembling carts, boxes, electrical components to frames, motors from prints, and conveyors. This role requires building up and tearing down assemblies, using electrical hand and air tools, particularly Milwaukee tools. You will engage in custom work involving print reading and the use of a tape measure. The work varies from small tasks taking 1-3 hours to large hoist assemblies taking up to 3 days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, controls schematics, and relevant bills of materials to build according to drawings and problem-solve where needed.
- Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization.
- Utilize hand tools proficiently for tasks such as structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly.
- Work must represent quality workmanship, neatness, and acceptable efficiencies.
- Complete quality assurance checks for Blue Books.
- Provide accurate documentation skills, including labor reporting, material issue/returns, material moves, and material scrap reports.
- Execute inventory re-ordering policies, including 'Kanban'.
- Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown.
