Position Overview:

As a Control Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of advanced control systems for high-quality industrial machinery.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop control systems that meet industry standards and client specifications.
  • Oversee the complete control system design process, collaborating with electrical designers, draftspeople, and technicians.
  • Create and manage Bills of Material for various projects.
  • Participate in a dynamic and collaborative engineering team, contributing to multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Develop automation system programs, including PLC, HMI, and robotics.
  • Engage with project teams and clients throughout the build process to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Adhere to the AGR Quality System and ISO procedures, ensuring compliance with quality policies.
  • Apply Lean principles to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and applicable codes.
  • Proficiency in advanced computer applications.
  • Experience with vision system programming and integration.
  • Expertise in robotic system design, programming, and deployment.
  • Understanding of pneumatic systems and their implementation.
  • Capability in overall control system hardware design and specification.
  • Familiarity with Rockwell Automation PLC and motion control technologies.
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Visual Basic and C#.
  • Knowledge of IT and OT networking principles.
  • Experience with SQL-based data gathering systems for plant operations.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Industry 4.0 and Smart Manufacturing as it relates to control systems.
  • Experience with CAD software, particularly AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and presentations.
  • Analytical skills to apply mathematical concepts to real-world scenarios.
  • Critical thinking abilities.

Education and Experience:

A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, along with 7-10+ years of experience in controls engineering.
