Role Overview

The ideal candidate for the Pipeline Safety and Integrity Specialist role will possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. We are looking for a proactive individual with expertise in fitness-for-service evaluations, repair assessments, and pipeline operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and uphold a robust safety culture in alignment with corporate and departmental goals.
  • Make informed decisions regarding pipeline repairs, including assessments for RSTRENG, dent strain analysis, and composite reinforcements.
  • Assist Operations and Regulatory teams during audits and compliance checks.
  • Develop and implement regional scopes of work that align with strategic capital expenditure initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams during the Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) review process.
  • Ensure that policies, plans, and procedures are maintained in accordance with current industry standards.
  • Engage with industry organizations and stay updated on evolving regulations and internal procedures.
  • Participate in industry conferences and events to enhance professional knowledge.
  • Provide technical support and training in areas such as Pipeline Assessment, Equipment Maintenance, and Risk Management.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and integrity of system assets.
  • Conduct Engineering Assessments for pipeline pressure increases and operational changes.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., CFR 192, ASME B31.8).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with various inspection technologies utilized in pipeline integrity assessments.
