Key Responsibilities:

Mastech Digital is in search of a dedicated Pipeline Integrity Specialist with expertise in fitness for service assessments, repair evaluations, and pipeline management. This role requires a professional who possesses the necessary skills and knowledge to ensure that decisions regarding pipeline repairs are made in accordance with sound engineering principles, while also providing technical support for various pipeline integrity activities.

Core Duties Include:

  • Fostering a robust safety culture aligned with corporate and departmental goals.
  • Making informed decisions regarding pipeline repairs, including RSTRENG, dent strain analysis, sleeves, leak repairs, and composite reinforcements.
  • Assisting Operations and US Regulatory teams during State PUC & PHMSA audits (49 CFR 192).
  • Creating regional scopes of work that align with strategic capital expenditure initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Project Teams during the review of Front End Engineering and Design (FEED).
  • Updating assigned policies, plans, and procedures to reflect current industry standards.
  • Engaging with industry affiliates and staying informed about evolving regulations and internal operational procedures.
  • Participating in industry events such as PRCI, INGAA, and SGA.
  • Providing expertise, technical support, and training in areas such as Pipeline Assessment, Equipment Maintenance, Failure Investigation, Risk Management, Pipe Design, Pipeline Construction, and Pipeline Operations and Maintenance.
  • Working alongside internal stakeholders in Technical and Operational Services, US Gas Operations field teams, management, Commercial Operations, Projects, and the Technical Center to ensure that activities are completed to uphold the integrity and compliant operation of system assets.
  • Conducting Engineering Assessments for increasing pipeline pressures, operational changes, evaluating pipeline reliability, and developing strategies to mitigate risks to pipeline integrity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A degree in a relevant engineering discipline from an accredited institution or a related degree with equivalent industry experience.
  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards (CFR 192, ASME B31.8, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Working knowledge and experience with various inspection technologies utilized in pipeline integrity evaluations.
