Role Summary:
The Outpatient Care Registered Nurse will play a vital role in the coordination and delivery of nursing care. This position involves evaluating clinical policies, implementing best practices, and collaborating with healthcare providers to create patient-centered care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Gather and document patient medical histories.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic health systems.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care plans.
- Administer medications and perform various clinical procedures, including wound care and patient triage.
- Monitor patient responses to treatments and collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize care strategies.
- Supervise and guide junior nursing staff and support personnel to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
Clinical Duties:
- Facilitate the implementation of nursing practices and clinical guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety standards and quality initiatives.
- Engage in continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care coordination.
Professional Development:
- Commit to ongoing education and skill enhancement in nursing practices.
- Act as a mentor to colleagues and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, with a current Registered Nurse license in New York. Experience in emergency or critical care settings is preferred, along with Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification is advantageous.
