About the Opportunity

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking a highly skilled Hematologist Oncologist to join our team. As a key member of our cancer care program, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our comprehensive cancer care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical direction and oversight to our cancer care team, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care and service.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with various types of cancer, including hematologic malignancies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Participate in tumor board meetings to discuss complex cases and develop treatment strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Board certification or eligibility in hematology or hematology and oncology.
  • Successful completion of residency or fellowship training in hematology or hematology and oncology.
  • Experience in cancer care and treatment planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
