Job Overview

The Construction Safety Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive construction safety program at a large global pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This individual will ensure that all safety policies and procedures are followed during facility construction and renovation projects.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure facility construction projects meet or exceed all required safety standards.
  • Manage the company's contractor safety program, including conducting regular safety training sessions.
  • Conduct periodic site inspections to identify any non-compliance with safety policies.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.
  • Strong background in the construction industry, with experience as a safety professional.
  • Excellent understanding of construction safety regulations and industry terminology.
  • Effective communication skills to convey safety information to construction workers and project stakeholders.
  • OSHA 1926 certification is required.
  • Able to work onsite daily in North Chicago, IL.
Compensation

$30.00/hour (W2) plus full employee benefits package, including paid time off, holidays, medical plans, dental and vision plans, 401(k), and an Employee Stock Ownership (ESOP) plan.
