Safety Professional - Job Summary

Apollo Inc is seeking a highly skilled Safety Professional to lead our safety and health initiatives in the mechanical contracting industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs to ensure a safe working environment for employees and customers.
  • Conduct site inspections and track corrective actions to closure, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform job safety analysis and maintain jobsite specific documentation, identifying potential hazards and implementing controls.
  • Coach and teach safety best practices across the organization, promoting a culture of safety and health.
  • Conduct safety training and provide overall safety and health leadership, ensuring the well-being of employees and the success of our operations.
Requirements:
  • Strong computer knowledge and skills, with proficiency in safety management software.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong tracking and follow-up skills and self-motivation, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve goals.
  • Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing, with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of risk, liability, and safety management principles, with a strong understanding of regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience:
  • A college degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field, with a strong academic record.
  • Previous experience in safety, health, environmental, or emergency response, with a proven track record of success.
  • Professional certification as an Occupational Health Safety Technologist (OHST), Construction Safety Health Technologist (CHST), or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP), with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A Certificate of Completion from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Outreach Training Program, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and guidelines.
