Job Description

Harmonium Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides innovative and customized program services to children, youth, and families throughout San Diego County.

The Site Director is responsible for the overall supervision and management of their sites. This includes conducting regular parent meetings, staff meetings, enforcing disciplinary procedures, developing learning program activities, and ensuring administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time.

We are currently looking for a full-time candidate to join Vista Grande Elementary in Tierrasanta, San Diego, California.

JOB COMPLEXITY.

  • Supervise day-to-day activities of the program while following contract guidelines.
  • Provide regular supervision and guidance to site staff.
  • Develop and coordinate creative in-person and distance learning program activities.
  • Create and monitor student behavior plans and transitional plans when necessary.
  • Maintain attendance and snack records.
  • Ensure all administrative paperwork is accurate and completed on time.

MINIMUM COMPETENCIES.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must have 48 completed college units or pass the District's Classroom Assistant Proficiency Exam.
  • Must have valid Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification upon hire.
  • Must have at least one year of experience working in an afterschool program or group child care setting with elementary and/or middle school-aged children.
  • Must have either 12 completed units in child development, elementary and/or middle school education, recreation, or a related field, or 12 months documented work experience in an ASES program.
  • Must have at least one year of supervisory experience of children and staff or assistant supervisory experience within Harmonium.

COMPENSATION.

  • Starting Rate: $26.52 per hour (all new hires begin at starting salary regardless of experience).
