Job Summary:

The Homeless Services Site Director will oversee the daily operations of a safe house for survivors of domestic violence. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience working with homeless and domestic violence populations.

Building Futures is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support services to survivors of domestic violence and their children.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Daily Operations: The Homeless Services Site Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the safe house, including managing staff and volunteers, maintaining facilities, and coordinating services.
  • Safety and Security: The Homeless Services Site Director will ensure the safety and security of residents, staff, and visitors by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures.
  • Staff Supervision: The Homeless Services Site Director will supervise and support a team of Resident Advocates who provide direct services to residents, including case management, counseling, and advocacy.
  • Community Partnerships: The Homeless Services Site Director will build and maintain relationships with community partners, including other social service agencies, healthcare providers, and government agencies.
  • Grant Management: The Homeless Services Site Director will assist with grant writing and management to secure funding for the safe house and its programs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Experience: At least four years of experience working with homeless and domestic violence populations is required.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems are required.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary for this position is $65,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience. Building Futures offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 403(b) retirement plan, as well as paid time off and holidays.
