Director of Advanced Practice Providers Leadership Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our team of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at New York Cancer & Blood Specialists. As the Director of APPs, you will play a critical role in the growth and development of our APP staff, ensuring the proper utilization of APPs to optimize support for our physician staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and develop the skills of APPs, including performance evaluations and corrective action plans as needed
- Develop staffing plans that recognize the diverse skill levels of individual staff members and the unique needs of our patient population
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical team members to review and recommend changes regarding personnel utilization and propose staffing patterns to ensure required APP support
- Manage APP PTO requests and participate in regular APP team meetings
- Implement and communicate policies and procedures related to APP practice
- Develop and promote teamwork among APPs and other clinical staff
- Recruit and retain APP staff, including developing training plans and tracking progress
- Conduct clinical reviews and participate in responses to patient complaints, quality management issues, and risk management requests
- Participate in data collection and reporting
- Completion of an accredited program and licensure as an APP in the state of New York
- At least 5 years of clinical practice as an APP, with oncology experience preferred
- Management experience preferred
- Effective communication skills and ability to determine how best to reach different audiences
- Willingness to take action and accept new opportunities and challenges
- Good decision-making skills with proven success in making timely decisions
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of an APP in specialty practice
- Ability and willingness to travel to any NYCBS/NY Health locations
- Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Excel, Slides, calendar) and experience with data reporting
Salary up to $180,000 annually based on experience. Benefits include Tuition Reimbursement, Health Insurance on day 1 of employment, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long term disability, 401k Plan, generous PTO time, 8 paid holidays (2 floating), and more.
