The Service Engineering Specialist at Cytiva plays a crucial role in recognizing the importance of service to our clients. This position involves collaborating with sales to drive revenue growth by identifying potential leads and nurturing relationships while representing Cytiva at client locations. The specialist will execute tasks on customer equipment while adhering to all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Quality protocols. This role may necessitate travel (both flying and driving) up to 50% of the time, and candidates must hold a valid driver's license.

This position is integrated within the Biotechnology Solutions organization and is field-based with travel responsibilities. At Cytiva, our mission is to propel future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct installation, qualification, routine maintenance, and repairs of equipment at client sites.
  • Manage administrative duties related to service scheduling, documentation, and inventory management.
  • Collaborate as part of a broader customer-facing team, including Customer Care, Service Sales, and Account Managers.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Educational background in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Automation, Electronics, or related STEM fields. This may include a Bachelor's degree, Associate's degree, military experience, or equivalent technical education or professional experience.
  • Capability to regularly lift, move, slide, raise, and/or position up to 50 lbs. Ability to stand, walk (for extended periods), and sit; squat and kneel, ascend and descend stairs; reach with hands and arms.
  • Proficient use of calibrated tools, hand tools, and power tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in environments adhering to GxP guidelines.
  • Strong IT skills related to Networking and Automation.
  • Familiarity with electronics and electrical systems.
