Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Lead the charge in recruiting top talent for frontline positions.
    • Elevate the onboarding experience, ensuring seamless integration for new hires.
    • Optimize systems to streamline onboarding and payroll processes.
    • Maintain recruitment excellence, aligning with Compass National Recruiting Center (CNRC) standards.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention:
    • Partner with leadership to foster a culture of engagement and satisfaction.
    • Drive employee engagement initiatives through corporate surveys, action plans, and innovative retention strategies.
    • Ensure onboarding practices are designed to boost performance and long-term retention.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Be an advisor, bridging the gap between managers and the HR Service Center (HRSC).
    • Champion consistency in employee relations and support managers in addressing concerns.
    • Assist in navigating sensitive matters like EEOC claims and performance management.
    • Provide expert advice on employment policies and practices, resolving issues and enhancing workplace harmony.
  • Human Resources Compliance:
    • Keep us compliant by managing critical HR paperwork and employee files in line with state and federal laws.
    • Oversee I-9 and Wage and Hour compliance.
    • Collaborate on safety initiatives, worker's compensation, and leave of absence procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR or related field required; Master's preferred.
  • Certifications: PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years as an HR Generalist, ideally within a large, multi-unit organization. Prior management experience is a plus.
  • Skills: Strong presentation and communication skills, with intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • HR Knowledge: Familiarity with a centralized HR environment and handling inquiries from regulatory agencies or the business community.
