Community Disaster Program Manager

The American Red Cross is seeking a highly skilled Community Disaster Program Manager to lead our disaster response efforts in assigned geographic areas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring effective collaboration with Volunteer Services, identifying and mobilizing partners, and determining current readiness resources and strategies for addressing gaps.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for implementing disaster cycle services programming throughout the assigned geographic area.
- Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, and representative of the communities they serve, both culturally and linguistically.
- Engage and mobilize communities and partners with specific functional expertise and assets to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters and emergencies.
- Act as the Red Cross disaster subject matter expert within assigned geographic areas, to maximize Red Cross presence and community engagement and mobilization.
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
