Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collection procedures, adhering to venipuncture protocols and maintaining accurate log sheets.
  • Verify order requests and identify patient information prior to drawing blood or collecting specimens.
  • Label and deliver specimens to the appropriate processing area.
  • Perform specimen processing and send-out tasks, including accessioning, centrifugation, and packaging.
  • Pick up and deliver blood, other sample types, and lab supplies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical proficiency with standard procedures, techniques, and common practices.
