Job Summary

We are seeking a Portfolio Solutions Investment Strategist to join our team at American Century Investments. This role is responsible for having an in-depth knowledge of our investment philosophy and process across our suite of offerings in the ETF/SMA category and playing a lead role with clients and prospects to assist with portfolio analysis and attribution requests.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and monitor key investment and industry trends, in partnership with investment teams and product teams, and develop investment-led insights and solutions for clients.
  • Partner with sales, relationship managers, and other stakeholders to promote and support business growth.
  • Travel as necessary to meet with clients, prospects, and attend/speak at industry events.
  • Develop tools to support distribution with consistent investment messages, including a detailed understanding of the current investment landscape, knowledge of portfolio holdings, risk attributes, and performance attribution of the strategies.
  • Communicate regularly with internal investment teams to remain current on investment policy, strategy, process, risk considerations, portfolio characteristics, and results.
  • Lead/Collaborate on key strategic business initiatives.
Qualifications
  • BA/MA in Finance, Economics, or other related degrees.
  • Certifications including, but not limited to, CFA and CAIA, or equivalent experience.
  • Series 7 licensed required and/or willingness to acquire within 6 months on the job.
  • Portfolio management skills preferred.
  • Strong ability to analyze and make informed investment decisions.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to tailor messaging and presentations to various sophistication levels.
  • Entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Highly collaborative, competitive, and innovative.
  • Courageous in providing feedback internally.
  • Strong experience with ETFs/SMAs/UCITS.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data automation and AI.
  • Ability to prioritize while being flexible to shift focus as needed.
  • Some travel required.
