Overview

At Hebrew SeniorLife, we are committed to delivering exceptional care to our patients and residents. As a Geriatric Specialist, you will play a critical role in our mission to redefine the experience of aging.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for geriatric patients in long-term care settings.
  • Prescribe medications and treatment regimens as needed, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Supervise and train medical students, residents, and fellows in geriatric medicine.
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree with ABIM recognized internal medicine or family practice residency.
  • Valid and unrestricted Massachusetts Medical License.
  • American Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • ABIM added certification in geriatric medicine preferred.
  • Federal DEA Certification.
  • CPR, BLS, ACLS certifications as required by the practice location.
Experience
  • Experience in caring for seniors in long-term care settings.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Knowledge of community medical diagnostic and patient care services.
  • Experience working in a team environment and supervising clinical professionals.
