Bilingual Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Bilingual Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at Community Health Resources. As a key member of our Substance Screening Treatment Recovery for Youth (SSTRY) program, you will play a vital role in providing outpatient substance abuse treatment to teens and their families.
Responsibilities- Administer Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) in CHR offices and in the community, utilizing both Spanish and English as needed.
- Conduct toxicology screenings for clients and perform ACC duties and responsibilities in the community.
- Increase client insight/awareness of substance use problems and motivation to seek treatment.
- Provide documentation related to assessment and use Motivational Interventions to assist clients in meeting their goals and moving along their path to recovery.
- Support clients with linking and engaging with natural and community supports, collaborating with DCF workers and other stakeholders around assessment, ACC, and ongoing participation.
- Utilize EMR to document all services and contacts with clients, collateral contacts, and appointments.
- Attend all model-required meetings and trainings, coaching calls, and agency trainings.
- Assist other team members as appropriate and perform additional duties as required.
- Language: Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a mental health-related field.
- Experience: At least two years' experience in a substance use setting, with lived experience potentially substituting for half of this requirement.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and computer literacy.
- Valid driver's license.
- Training: Will attend all required program trainings.
