Edgewater Technical Associates is in search of skilled professionals for the role of Project Coordination Engineer for Interface Management to contribute to an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) initiative.

Key Work Responsibilities:
The Project Coordination Engineer for Interface Management will undertake critical project and engineering oversight tasks, focusing on creating a structured execution framework that aligns with interface management duties, safety protocols, and quality assurance. Effective interface management is vital for ensuring the seamless integration of various project components. This role will involve:
  • Interface Definition: Identifying and clarifying interaction points between different project elements, such as electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Coordination and Communication: Facilitating clear communication among diverse teams or systems involved in the project through regular meetings and comprehensive documentation.
  • Conflict Resolution: Addressing and mediating conflicts arising from overlapping responsibilities or misalignments between project scopes.
  • Documentation Management: Maintaining thorough records of interface management processes to aid in project flow understanding and dispute resolution.
  • Risk Mitigation: Proactively identifying potential risks associated with interfaces to prevent delays and budget overruns.
Essential Duties:
1) Prioritizing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards:
  • Integrate HSE considerations throughout all project phases, demonstrating a commitment to industry best practices.
2) Excellence in Interface Management:
  • Lead the formulation of an interface management strategy, ensuring systematic identification, documentation, and resolution of interfaces.
  • Maintain the interface system of record with up-to-date information regarding interface agreements.
  • Organize and facilitate regular meetings to promote alignment and information sharing among project teams.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure comprehensive identification and management of interfaces.
  • Establish and uphold clear communication protocols for each interface scope.
  • Engage proactively with technical contacts and stakeholders to expedite interfacing processes.
  • Present interface management methodologies to relevant stakeholders, including project teams and external partners.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A minimum of seven (7) years in a significant design engineering or construction engineering role with proven expertise in project or interface management.
  • A successful history as a Project Manager on large-scale engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction projects.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience managing international projects in diverse cultural settings is advantageous.
  • A strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion within engineering management practices.

  • Ability to maintain high standards for project interface management regarding quality and timeliness.
Other Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • This role involves travel, with mobility exceeding 25%.
