Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Child Protective Services Specialist 1 to join our team. As a key member of our Child Protective Services unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community.

Responsibilities
  • Investigate reports of suspected child abuse and maltreatment, conducting thorough assessments to determine the safety and well-being of children.
  • Provide technical assistance to local district staff, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to effectively support children and families.
  • Screen applicants for childcare, daycare, and related positions, ensuring that they meet the necessary qualifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to ensure that children and families receive the support and services they need.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a human services field, or an associate's degree in a human services field with two years of experience in child protective services.
  • Two years of experience in child protective services, including investigating reports of suspected child abuse and maltreatment, conducting assessments, and providing technical assistance.
  • Four years of experience in child protective services, including investigating reports of suspected child abuse and maltreatment, conducting assessments, and providing technical assistance.
