Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to serve as a House Supervisor at Mass General Brigham. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative, operational, and clinical aspects of our facility on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring safe staffing levels and budgetary constraints are met, while also providing leadership, supervision, and mentorship to our nursing staff. You will be responsible for monitoring practice to ensure compliance with licensing and accrediting agency standards, and participating in hospital committees and the performance improvement process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative, operational, and clinical responsibilities for all services in the facility on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Nursing staff supervision, support, and mentoring to promote staff development and adherence to standards of clinical excellence.
  • Adequate staffing to meet coverage demands, delegation of work to staff consistent with their abilities, professional development, and needs of the unit.
  • Patient/resident satisfaction promotion and alignment with broader action plans.
  • Department compliance monitoring and maintenance to meet licensing and accrediting agency standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Minimum two years of diverse and well-rounded clinical experience required.
  • Prior management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current licensure from Massachusetts Board of Registration as Registered Nurse required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Microsoft office applications preferred with ability to learn new software.
  • National certification in a nursing specialty preferred.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • May be required to work in confined spaces or at heights.
  • Exposure to blood-borne pathogens and other infectious materials.
