About Us: At Compass Surgical Partners, we strive to deliver exceptional healthcare services through efficient and accurate financial processes. Our team is seeking a detail-oriented Cash Receipts Representative to join our Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring accurate cash posting and supporting timely reporting of accounts receivable.
Job Purpose: The Cash Receipts Representative ensures efficient and accurate cash processing, which facilitates the accurate reporting of accounts receivable (AR) and supports the timely filing of secondary and patient statements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficient Cash Posting and Management: Post all payments and denials within 48 hours. Resolve unapplied payments monthly to maintain clean and accurate accounts. Keep credit balances below 2% of total AR to support optimal cash flow management.
- Revenue Cycle Support: Collaborate with the RCM team to maintain AR days under 35, supporting overall financial objectives. Work cross-functionally to meet or exceed collections goals, ensuring seamless cash processing.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Collaborate effectively with co-workers to drive cross-functional success. Build and maintain trust with ASC staff and key stakeholders, contributing to a survey satisfaction score of 9/10.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in payment posting and accounts receivable management, in an ASC (Ambulatory Surgery Center) environment required.
- Experience with denial management, HIPAA compliance, and patient accounting systems.
- Understanding of insurance contracts and ability to identify payer underpayments or overpayments.
- Familiarity with HST Pathways practice management system is preferred.
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and process optimization skills.
