Technical Sales Representative

The technical sales representative is responsible for the sale of parts, spare parts, and components for material handling systems, with a focus on developing new opportunities and maintaining relationships with current customers. You should be able to build instant rapport, suggest proper solutions, close sales, achieve customer satisfaction and meet sales targets.
Responsibilities:
- Verify technical needs of the customer and suggest appropriate products or services to solve their issues.
- Prospect for opportunities to grow parts, component and service sales with existing and new customers.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process for successful new customer acquisition and customer retention.
- Contact vendors for price and availability of outsourced parts and components.
- Prepare and send product specifications and quotes to customers.
- Maintain contact with customers before, during and after each sale to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Follow the company sales process to reach sales targets consistently.
- Participate in product and industry training, and continuously seek opportunities to learn.
- Participate in trade show exhibitions and promotions.
Requirements and Skills:
- Demonstrated sales experience.
- Logical thinker with strong problem-solving skills, focused on providing solutions.
- Aptitude to understand technical processes, and analyze and discuss customer operations.
- Strong inter-personal (people) skills.
