Security Officer Job Description

**Overview**

Marksman Security is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their assets.

**Responsibilities**

* Deter and prevent criminal activity on assigned properties
* Protect people and property from harm
* Enforce rules and regulations on assigned properties
* Monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position
* Patrol areas and conduct security checks
* Provide protection for equipment and workers in factories and offices

**Qualifications**

* At least 18 years of age or older
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Level II, Noncommissioned security license (via TOPS)
* Strong customer service skills
* Familiarity with report writing
* Monitoring and surveillance experience
* Ability to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
* One year previous security experience preferred
* Valid driver's license for all driving posts
* Ability to get in and out of vehicle often (if Patrol Officer)
* Ability to walk/stand for extended periods (if Building Officer)
* Ability to work flexible shifts
* Pass background/drug tests and/or MVR (if required)
