Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc. in Berea, KY. As a key player in our manufacturing processes, you will be responsible for advancing our manufacturing capabilities, supporting automation projects, and contributing to our company's ongoing growth and transformation.
Key Responsibilities:- Optimize Manufacturing Processes: Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, including tooling, equipment, material specifications, and quality standards to ensure efficient, safe product assembly.
- Support Key Projects: Contribute to important initiatives such as capital improvements, New Product Introductions (NPI), and continuous improvement efforts, with a strong focus on automation and ergonomics.
- Research & Development: Innovate and implement new manufacturing methods, tools, and automation technologies to streamline operations and reduce manual labor.
- Drive Efficiency: Identify and eliminate waste in production processes, applying lean manufacturing principles to improve productivity.
- Project Oversight: Manage and provide technical oversight for large-scale automation investments, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Transformational Leadership: Lead or actively participate in the Manufacturing Transformation Program, driving improvements in production efficiency and automation across the organization.
- Level I: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or an Associate's degree with 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Level II: Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred, or Associate's degree with 5-7 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
- Level III: Bachelor's degree in a technical field or Associate's degree with 7-10 years of relevant manufacturing experience.
