Position Summary:

The Culinary Operations Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the standards and procedures of both Green Mill and Bird Dog Hospitality are effectively communicated and adhered to. This position is responsible for:

  • Maintaining high standards of integrity, service, and hospitality in interactions with team members, customers, and colleagues.
  • Providing collaborative leadership and managing processes to ensure the restaurant meets all company expectations regarding quality, service, profitability, and teamwork.
  • Communicating necessary changes or information regarding kitchen operations to management.
  • Addressing any quality control issues related to the kitchen.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment policies.
  • Adhering to health department standards.
  • Completing the Short Order Training Program successfully.
  • Demonstrating comprehensive menu knowledge.
  • Completing daily opening and closing checklists.
  • Receiving and storing kitchen products and supplies with proper rotation.
  • Ensuring correct food and supply rotation and portioning of menu items.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of business leadership principles and practices.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written, with the ability to address team member and guest concerns professionally.
  • The ability to engage with individuals in a warm, friendly, and professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

Objective: To prepare high-quality food efficiently and professionally while maintaining a clean and orderly kitchen, and assisting the Kitchen Manager in daily operations.
