We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Lead to join our team at SpecSys. As an Assembly Lead, you will be responsible for supervising daily assembly operations, ensuring quality control processes are adhered to, and coordinating with management and purchasing departments.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise assembly operations, identifying opportunities to minimize unproductive time and optimize workflows.
- Approve employee time in/out and time off requests, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
- Develop and implement employee performance review documentation, utilizing existing formats supplied by Human Resources.
- Coordinate orders with management and purchasing departments, ensuring timely delivery of assemblies and shop supplies.
- Ensure products are built and tested to meet customer requirements, adhering to quality control processes and procedures.
- Document workplace-related injuries and communicate with Human Resources and Director of Quality Control and Compliance.
- Coordinate workload with project managers to ensure design changes and ECO changes are implemented into the assembly process.
- Accurately read and interpret blueprints, including mechanical connections, joints, and electrical wiring diagrams.
- Ability to understand and follow work order instructions, including signing-off of assembly department dispatches.
- Design and construct assemblies, utilizing knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively with management and Human Resources.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent bending, crawling, and standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, with combination of education and experience providing required skills and knowledge.
