Position Overview

As a Clinical Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing on-site consulting and support to medical professionals and operating room teams. Your expertise will be essential in evaluating options and resolving challenges during surgical procedures to enhance the efficiency and application of IGS products.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Consultation and Support**: Offer on-site guidance and assistance to physicians and OR personnel, ensuring optimal use of IGS products during surgeries.

2. **Issue Resolution**: Analyze and address product-related issues through thorough investigation and application of engineering knowledge.

3. **Radiology Collaboration**: Collaborate with Radiology staff to perform necessary scans prior to surgical interventions.

4. **Training and Education**: Develop and implement training programs for hospital staff, including OR personnel, Radiology, Central Sterile Processing, Biomedical, and IT teams, focusing on the effective use of IGS products and services.

5. **Customer Liaison**: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, assessing satisfaction levels and identifying opportunities for revenue growth through spare parts and upgrades.

6. **Cross-Functional Collaboration**: Work closely with various stakeholders, including Senior Application Consultants, Area Account Managers, Key Account Managers, and Marketing Managers, to enhance market transparency and support R&D initiatives.

7. **Quality Improvement**: Utilize your engineering expertise to recommend product modifications that contribute to the quality improvement process.

8. **Promotional Activities**: Attend industry meetings and trade shows to showcase and promote IGS products and services.

9. **Continuous Learning**: Stay informed about developments in Brainlab and competitive IGS products through ongoing training and research.

10. **Technical Support**: Ensure customer satisfaction in the technical support process by adhering to established deadlines and quality standards.

11. **Network Troubleshooting**: Support on-site network troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.

12. **Advanced Troubleshooting**: Conduct advanced technical troubleshooting, including audio, video, control, and network signal analysis to resolve complex system issues.

13. **Additional Duties**: Perform other responsibilities as required.

Travel Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $85,000.
