This role is pivotal in enhancing the Integrative Medicine Program, focusing on the effective utilization of dietary supplements and natural products for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Integrative Medicine team to establish and execute institutional protocols for the safe and effective use of dietary supplements and natural products.
  • Engage with the Dietary Supplement Working Group, which includes professionals from Integrative Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nutrition, to refine and uphold clinical practice guidelines for outpatient oncology clinics.
  • Implement quality enhancement initiatives related to the appropriate application of dietary supplements and natural products.
  • Analyze trends in dietary supplement usage across the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and provide insightful feedback to healthcare providers regarding their use.
  • Participate in Drug Utilization Evaluations (DUE) and contribute to organizational process improvement projects.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of two years of experience in pharmacy practice is required.
  • Completion of an accredited residency training program may substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis.
  • Possession of a valid State of Washington Pharmacist license is mandatory.
