Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Oncology Pharmacist to join our team at the Cancer Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in oncology pharmacy and be able to provide exceptional care to our cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver vital drug and clinical information to healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Oversee chemotherapy drug orders and monitor medication storage conditions.
  • Serve as a resource for clinic staff on medication-related inquiries.
  • Support the clinics e-scripting needs and manage the clinic and research pharmacy in compliance with applicable pharmacy laws.
  • Supervise and oversee pharmacy technicians, serving as the primary onsite Oncology Pharmacist.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree.
  • BCOP certification required (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist).
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a pharmacist in an oncology setting.
  • Active/clear Washington state pharmacist license.
Work Environment
  • Infusion Bays: The facility features approximately 25 infusion bays.
  • Dispensing: All dispensing is conducted on-site for a streamlined process.
  • IT: Utilizes Onco EMR (custom system).
  • Support Staff: Work with two certified pharmacy technicians, typically one at a time, with technicians handling mixing and pharmacists performing some compounding.
