Position Overview:
R/West is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented accounting professional to contribute to our dynamic advertising agency as a Staff Accountant.

The successful candidate will possess a solid background in accounting and administrative support, working closely with our Senior Accountant and account management team to ensure precise client billing and adherence to timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Staff Accountant, your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including:

  • General Ledger Management:
    Maintain and update the general ledger with accurate entries and perform account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Accounts Payable:
    Process vendor invoices, manage payment procedures, and reconcile vendor statements while addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Accounts Receivable:
    Generate customer invoices, monitor aging accounts, and ensure accurate application of payments.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Assist in preparing financial statements, conduct analyses to identify trends, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Miscellaneous Duties:
    Participate in audits, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and collaborate with various departments to enhance financial processes.
Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • A strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • The ability to prepare tax reports accurately.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer technology.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Work Environment:
This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between remote work and in-office responsibilities. Candidates should be prepared to work on-site for a portion of the week while also collaborating with colleagues from home.
