Job Title: ED TECHNICIAN III

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated ED TECHNICIAN III to join our team at Biddeford Middle School. As an ED TECHNICIAN III, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational needs of our students.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have experience in reviewing and reinforcing learning previously introduced by the classroom, participating in required workshops, and performing non-instructional, non-evaluating functions. You will also assist in preparation of instructional materials and provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, and play periods.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom
  • Participate in required workshops by request of Building Leader, Supervisor, or Director
  • Perform non-instructional, non-evaluating functions including suspension of students
  • Assist in preparation of instructional materials or provide classroom management functions during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, etc.
  • Alerts teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student
Requirements:
  • Certification as an Education Technician from the Maine Department of Education
  • Criminal History Record Check (CHRC), which includes Fingerprints on file with the Maine Department of Education
  • Appropriate for Ed Technician Certification Level III
  • Experience: Successful prior classroom experience or working with students with special needs for the appropriate grade levels is preferred but not required
