Role Overview

This position is pivotal in ensuring that overdue vulnerabilities are escalated to senior management for immediate attention and remediation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an analyst to execute the risk management control for the escalation of vulnerability consequences.
  • Receiving daily guidance from the control lead while adhering to the overall direction provided by the hiring manager.
  • Collaborating effectively with team members involved in the execution of this control.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and spearheading initiatives to enhance control execution and associated technologies and procedures.
  • Gaining insight into incoming tasks, recognizing impacted parties, and communicating necessary actions clearly.
  • Partnering with remediation owners and their leadership to offer guidance on required actions, while tracking deliverables until completion and escalating issues as needed.
  • Creating communications and reports that provide visibility into progress and highlight any challenges or required actions.
  • Maintaining evidence and documentation that demonstrate the quality of work execution in support of audits and quality assurance evaluations.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in Information Security Analysis or equivalent through work, consulting, military experience, or education.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Information Security Analysis, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 2+ years of advanced data analysis using Excel.
  • Experience in risk management, auditing, JIRA, and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, recognizing the heavily audited nature of enterprise risk management controls.
  • Prior experience in audit or risk management.
  • Proven ability to analyze governance, policy, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Capability to work effectively within a matrixed environment and establish strong business partnerships across all levels.
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, drive conclusions, identify tasks, document actions, and achieve results.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with SharePoint and JIRA.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
