About the Behavioral Health Center
The center provides a wide array of mental health services, including programs for First Episode Psychosis, opioid treatment, and specialized care for individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Our dedicated team comprises psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and addiction counselors, all committed to delivering compassionate care while respecting each patient's dignity.

Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to the policies and ethical standards of Kings County Hospital
- Respond to psychiatric consultation requests from medical staff
- Provide recommendations for psychiatric care and patient disposition
- Supervise residents and medical students on the Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison service
- Collaborate with Behavioral Health leadership to enhance inter-departmental cooperation
- Participate in psychiatry CL team meetings and adhere to established protocols
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Chief of Service
Qualifications
- Board eligible or board certified in Psychiatry
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical institution
- Completed residency training in Psychiatry
- Valid medical license in the State of New York
