Job Summary

The Educational Diagnostician at IDEA Public Schools is a critical member of our Special Programs team, working to ensure the success of all students and addressing any barriers that may impact their academic and social outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support special education teachers in developing appropriate IEP goals
  • Ensure 100% compliance in Annual ARDs and timely submission of paperwork
  • Collaborate with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, and other related service personnel to complete ARD paperwork
  • Maintain accurate records and services
  • Establish and execute Critical Student Instruction groups with fidelity
  • Support 504 campus coordinators with manifestation determinations and 504 meeting requirements
  • Conduct dyslexia evaluations for 504 students
  • Guide campuses in tracking and documenting academic and behavioral interventions
  • Conduct multidisciplinary evaluations for non-speech only students, non-autism, and non-emotional disturbance students
  • Adhere to up-to-date evaluation tools and standards
  • Conduct evaluations for student College Board accommodations
  • Help campuses employ a problem-solving model for students in Tiers II and III
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Special Education or Education from an accredited college or university
  • Texas Educational Diagnostician Certificate required
  • At least 3 years of experience as a campus Educational Diagnostician preferred
