Job Title: Production Supervisor - Gleaners2Go

Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana is a leading hunger relief organization in the state, serving as a contract reclamation site for Kroger Central Division and a staging site for FEMA disaster response. We operate Fresh Connect Central, a regional produce cooperative for Feeding America, and provide vital hunger relief programs in our 21-county service area.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, overseeing, and improving all processes involved in the receipt, production, and distribution of Gleaners2Go orders to program partners. This role ensures compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and compliance policies while meeting operational and customer service objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise order fulfillment and assembly activities for Gleaners2Go, including product setup and teardown, order building, and supervising staff/volunteers.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver product in a timely fashion.
  • Manage inventory, ensuring food supply availability matches website content, adjusting product as needed, and placing orders.
  • Work with the Volunteer team to plan for volunteer needs and create volunteer training to support order fulfillment and provide an exceptional volunteer experience.
  • Assist with logistics in preparing a site to be a pick-up location and provide technical support assistance for internal Programs Team.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of administrative/customer service experience.
  • Prior experience in Supply Chain or Logistics is desired.
  • Multi-Lingual preferred, but not required.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to train and lead a group of individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation communications skills.
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to perform basic math functions, count accurately, and maintain accurate records.
  • eCommerce/POS platform upkeep, including process and developmental input.
  • Ability to use manual and electronic warehouse documentation tools, including barcode hardware and ERP (Warehouse/Inventory Management System).
  • Ability to create, analyze, and present reports.
  • Forklift certification (or ability to be certified).
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to think creatively.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment with multifaceted demands.
  • A commitment to full and visible participation as a hunger relief leader in the community.
