Incident Monitoring Specialist

This is a temporary position.
The contractor will support the NGB J2 by functioning as an Incident Awareness and Assessment analyst. The ideal candidate should possess a background in Domestic Response and have familiarity with DHS and FEMA processes for all hazards response.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Continuously monitor global natural and manmade hazards and disasters that may affect National Guard interests and stakeholders, providing analytical support and briefing materials regarding potential impacts on National Guard assets, personnel, and equipment.
- Track the official record system for requests for information/assistance (RFI/RFA) from JFHQs relevant to NGB J2, ensuring action on RFI/RFAs within four hours and updating NGB J2 leadership accordingly.
- During all-hazard events, gather situational awareness from the lead federal agency, interagency partners, and affected state and territory JFHQs; deliver reports on federal IAA capabilities supporting the event to NGB J23 and assist in coordination calls with the JFHQ-State's J2.
- Develop unclassified and classified analytical products in response to urgent command requirements, covering areas such as IAA, Homeland Defense, Homeland Security, Medical Intelligence, Cyber Intelligence, Information/Influence Operations, and Critical Infrastructure. Present these products to National Guard senior leaders and disseminate them nationwide.
- Deploy ahead of or alongside the National Guard JLT to the JFHQ in scenarios where NGB J2 support is necessary. Provide updates on federal IAA capabilities, techniques, and processes to the JFHQ-State and NGB's interagency partners. Advise the JFHQ-J2 on all IAA-related matters and report back to NGB.
- Revise the IAA Continuity Book to reflect all procedural changes to NGB J2 IAA operations.
- Work based on operational demands in a shift work environment, whether at home station or other assigned locations, including 24/7 shifts during contingency events. Work from various locations, including partner agencies during continuity or contingency events.
- Potential for travel to approximately 10 events per year, averaging 14 days per event.

- Current Top Secret clearance and SSBI investigation with eligibility for SCI access.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8 years of analytical experience, with a portion of that experience within the last 2 years.
