Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Manager for our production facility specializing in frozen pies. This leadership position is pivotal in ensuring the safety, strategic direction, and effective management of frontline associates, supervisors, and managers involved in the production of our premium products.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and assist managers and supervisors in the daily operations of production and maintenance departments.
- Develop and manage the budget, ensuring departmental spending aligns with budgetary constraints.
- Maintain actual costs of goods within or below established standards.
- Investigate methods to minimize scrap waste and manage out-of-specification and contaminated ingredients.
- Explore opportunities to enhance efficiency in manpower and production efforts without compromising quality.
- Research and propose effective equipment and employee utilization strategies for cost efficiency.
- Monitor manufacturing performance through reports from various departments.
- Compile and prepare operational reports for senior management.
- Follow up on improvement opportunities with relevant management across all operational areas.
- Conduct interviews and hire employees in accordance with EEO and Affirmative Action guidelines, ensuring proper training is provided.
- Conduct performance evaluations and manage employee development, safety, and policy adherence.
- Adjust daily work schedules as necessary to meet production demands.
- Train and develop subordinate staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 8 years in a related field.
- Demonstrated management or direct leadership experience.
- Prior experience in food manufacturing, with familiarity with USDA/FDA regulations preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence, with the ability to interpret various instructions.
- Competence in calculating financial figures and assessing equipment performance.
- Intermediate skills in personal computing, including Microsoft Office.
- Effective communication skills for addressing groups of employees and upper management.
