Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmologist to join our team as a Cornea Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing critical ophthalmological care and clinical services to patients suffering from various eye diseases, infections, trauma, and other eye complications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations to patients with corneal diseases and other eye conditions.
  • Conduct eye examinations and perform eye surgeries, specialized eye treatments, and eye therapies.
  • Teach medical students, residents, and fellows in inpatient and outpatient settings and classroom lectures.
  • Conduct clinical and translational research activities and quality improvement projects in Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences.
  • Support research and education across the joint healthcare delivery system.
Requirements
  • M.D. degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Graduate of accredited ACGME Ophthalmology residency and a one-year Cornea and External Disease and Refractive Surgery fellowship.
  • Board eligible/certified with American Board of Ophthalmology.
  • Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice licensure.
  • Ability to maintain DEA certification in Minnesota.
  • Ability to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
  • Experience or interest in clinical research and other scholarly activities.
