Eye Care Specialist Opportunity

University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Eye Care Specialist to join our team. As an Eye Care Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmologists and optometrists in delivering high-quality eye care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record patient history and perform visual assessments
  • Assist with testing, including visual fields, pupillary assessments, and lensometry
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate lab results
  • Assist with minor procedures and administer eye drops
  • Support overall clinic flow and patient satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification
  • Two years of clinical experience in ophthalmology
  • Ability to obtain COA certification within 2 years of hire
