Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Unity Health Care. As a key member of our primary care treatment team, you will provide culturally competent care to patients, triage and consult with primary care providers, and deliver brief, consultation-based services using an integrated care model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Culturally Competent Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care that takes into account the unique needs and experiences of our diverse patient population.
  • Collaborate with Primary Care Providers: Work closely with primary care providers to provide consultation services, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions.
  • Conduct Assessments and Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patients' mental health needs and develop targeted interventions.
  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address patients' mental health needs and promote overall well-being.
  • Provide Education and Support: Provide education and support to patients, families, and primary care providers to promote mental health and well-being.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to quality improvement initiatives that enhance the quality of care and promote patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: Possess a Master's degree in a relevant field, such as social work, professional counseling, or psychology.
  • Current DC Professional License: Hold a current DC professional license in a relevant field, such as social work, professional counseling, or psychology.
  • Competent in Basic Psychotherapy Skills: Demonstrate competence in basic psychotherapy skills, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and active listening.
  • Ability to Work Collaboratively: Possess the ability to work collaboratively with primary care providers, patients, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
