Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Mental Health Specialist. The successful candidate will provide medication management and somatic treatment to adults with serious and persistent mental illness, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medication management and somatic treatment to patients with serious and persistent mental illness
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct crisis assessments and interventions as needed
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on somatic diagnoses and treatment options
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Document all patient services in our electronic health record system
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Current RN licensure in the District of Columbia
  • Minimum of five years' experience in a healthcare setting
  • Relevant experience and expertise in care of physical health
Skills and Competencies
  • Strong assessment skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and health privacy laws
