Role Expectations: This position demands a fast-paced writing environment, where the selected individual will be expected to produce high-quality content while adhering to strict deadlines. Successful candidates will have ample opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate 25-30 articles weekly in accordance with Screen Rant's editorial standards, including fact-checking, formatting, linking, and basic image editing.
- Revise and enhance existing articles as necessary.
- Receive and implement feedback from the editorial team.
- Maintain open communication with team members.
- Flexible working hours are preferred, with an emphasis on afternoon (PST) availability and weekend work valued.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for entertainment content and a desire to advance in the industry.
- 1–2 years of writing experience, ideally with a digital entertainment publication (excluding personal blogs or non-published work).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Movies and TV across various genres, with an added advantage for familiarity with Network TV.
- Ability to analyze and reference source material effectively.
- Attention to grammatical detail and a strong command of the English language.
- Capability to produce high-quality articles with quick turnaround times.
- Comfortable working in a fully virtual setting.
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of news writing conventions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Asana, WordPress, and Discord.
- Experience in image editing.
- Knowledge of SEO and Google Analytics.
