Construction Operations Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Shop Foreman to join our team at Eagle Construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the maintenance and organization of shop equipment, materials, and inventory, while working closely with shop managers, project managers, and on-site foremen.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, schedule, administer, and conduct fleet maintenance and transport
  • Inspect equipment, vehicles, and tools, and perform light maintenance or coordinate with repair vendors
  • Deliver and pick up materials and equipment to job sites
  • Maintain records and inventories of tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Review work orders, assign tasks to employees, and verify quality of work performed
  • Train and coach shop employees
  • Procure necessary parts, tools, vehicles, and equipment, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Maintain communication with local parts and equipment dealers
  • Perform physical hands-on work and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Practical knowledge of construction equipment, tools, and vehicles
  • Experience in a shop or construction environment
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with field/office staff and outside vendors
  • Ability to organize, plan, and supervise
  • Comfortable with computers, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug test

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL or Class B CDL
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural details
  • Strong understanding of OSHA requirements
  • Ability to establish a positive rapport and maintain good working relationships with trade contractors
  • Excellent organizational and follow-through skills
  • Ability to carry out multi-task projects
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups or individuals

Work Location: The job is performed in the shop yard with construction site visits as necessary. Some travel may be required.
