Accounting Specialist Position Summary

CONES Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Specialist to join our Administrative Team in Moline, IL. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for supporting the General Manager in completing various accounting activities and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable: Compile, sort, verify, and post business transactions, including invoicing and processing funds to the general ledger and bank.
  • Accounts Payable: Audit and prepare vouchers, invoices, checks, statements, reports, and other records for accuracy.
  • Ensure timely collections and reconcile reports, discrepancies, and problems.
  • Answer, direct, or take messages for all account inquiries.
Job Expectations:
  • Accurately compute, compile, classify, record, verify, and maintain numerical data used for accounting records.
  • Maintain a high level of visual attention and mental concentration for significant periods.
  • Analyze and interpret business transactions.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and employees.
  • Solve complex accounting problems and deal with numerous variables concerning company accounts.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent certificate.
  • Two-year associate degree in accounting preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of prior work experience in an office environment.
  • Proficient with information technology tools and applications.
