Night Auditor Job Description

The Fairfield Inn & Suites - Princeton, WV is seeking a part-time night auditor to join our team. As a night auditor, you will be responsible for auditing the books for the hotel at night and managing the front desk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Balance the account books after arriving for your shift
• Look for any mistakes in the entries made by the front desk clerks and rectify them using the receipts issued
• Manage the front desk during the night shift and attend calls on behalf of the company
• Welcome guests that arrive and help them check in to the hotel
• Make bills for guests who check out during the night time
• Carefully calculate the bills and make entries for them in the books
• Have complete knowledge of the services provided by the hotel so you can answer the queries of the guests
• Coordinate with the accountant of the hotel and make reports about the entire transactions to the manager
• Help the accountant in calculating the taxes for the hotel
• Help balance all the financial accounts in the end of the financial year
• Manage all the keys and employees during night time
• Send all the financial documents like checks, credit receipts to the bank for collection
• Help with stocking and light cleaning
• Help assist with guests
• Help with breakfast setup

Requirements:

• High school diploma is the minimum requirement
• Knowledge about ledger maintenance
• Courses in the latest accounting practices

Many night auditors are students who attend college or do courses in the morning. They use this experience to make a career in accounting. The night auditors who plan on staying in this profession are entitled to promotions to administrative positions in the hotel.
